Futomaki (futomaki) in Japanese 太巻き (translated thick roll) is the most classic sushi in Japan. When you say maki sushi* (巻き寿司) or sushi roll, it implies Futomaki. Each sushi master chooses different fillings for futomaki. Some use five ingredients and some include more than ten. That’s why Futomaki becomes one of the tastiest, but also the most beautiful sushi.
